Seeds of Regression

Die internationale Konferenz, die am 8. und 9. Mai an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach stattfinden wird, beschäftigt sich mit der von Theodor W. Adorno, Gretel Adorno und Max Horkheimer in der Dialektik der Aufklärung entwickelten These, dass im politischen Liberalismus selbst – trotz seines demokratischen Selbstverständnisses – „Seeds of Regression" (Samen der Regression) angelegt sind. Das Verhältnis zwischen Liberalismus und Faschismus wird dabei neu gedacht und anhand gesellschaftlicher Strukturen wie Geschlecht, Kapital, Rasse, Technologie und Ästhetik diskutiert. Ziel der Konferenz ist es, historische Kontinuitäten und Brüche zu analysieren und einen interdisziplinären Dialog im Feld der kritischen Theorie und der Künste zu fördern.

Die Konferenzsprache ist Englisch.
